Aswan Travel Forum

Hi All,
I have decided to do a day in Aswan from Luxor. I plan on traveling by train from Luxor as early as possible and will look to arrive in Aswan around 9:30 or 10:00. I will have a duffle bag with me and don't want to lug it around to all the sites. Does anyone know of any storage options where I can leave my bags or should I just get cheap hotel room for the day to keep my bags. Or should I hire a driver to take me(and my bags) around for the days.

Anyone with ideas please respond as soon as you can. I am leaving for Cairo on Feb 8 and I'm trying to finalize all my plans.

Yes it is very helpful. I may actually take a convoy from Luxor instead of the train as mentioned by another VT member. Do you know how much the hotels charge to store bags or which hotel would be a good choice?

There is 2 options to store your lugguage. First would be in your hotel in Luxor. Book a day use room or extend your stay for one night, only if their price would be very reasonable for you. That will facilitate travelleing without taking care of all stuff and when you return from Aswan, you will find your room available. If not, the Second option could be available. Just ask about a cheap hotel in Aswan like Keylany hotel or any central cheap hotel. You may ask your driver as well. Try to book a day use room there . That will be great for 2 functions. The first to store you lug while the second for taking some rest or may be a shower before getting back to Luxor.

Thanks for your reply. I think I will definitely book a room instead. My flight to Cairo leaves very late at night so I can always just go back to the hotel to relax and not worry about my luggage.
