i am planing to go Mt.Everest BAse Camp and if possible will go to Gokyo lake. I would like to know is feb last week or march 1st week a good time to trek in everest region, r there some difficulties or i will be the alone traveller in feb last week or march 1st week, as i heard that after 15th march trekers starts.
is there someone going during this period or suggest me the best time. greetings from india. sidhs. |

It might be really cold and perhaps some snow. However, there is plenty to do in the Everest/Khumbu region even if the passage to Gokyo is not possible. I would guess that the lodges at Gokyo are not open at the time you suggest, but toward Everest BC there would be some services available.I would advice against the Gokyo-Khumbu glacier/Kalapattar crossing so early without proper gear, guides etc. Nice pass, but better walk around, south out of Gokyo and then the regular Everest trail.
