Sequoia National Park Travel Forum

Any help would be greatly appreciated. We are staying at the Grand Canyon - (nearest entrance from Las Vegas) and would then like to drive from the Grand Canyon to Sequoia National Park. How long would it likely take to drive?

Then from Sequoia, how far is it back to Las Vegas.

When you ask about Sequoia NP, do you mean the east side of the park, where, from US Hiway 395, you can see Mount Whitney (and not much else)? Or the west entrance, where the giant sequoias are? If the latter, then using Mapquest to enter 'Grand Canyon AZ" as the starting city and "Sequoia National Park CA" as the ending city; gives a trip of 636 miles, and ten hours and seventeen minutes. Doing the same for Sequoia NP and Las Vegas NV gives a trip of 417 miles, and six hours and forty minutes. Both sound about right.

For long journeys like this, Mapquest (and similiar URLs) are the quickest way to get a rough answer.
