| Nanjing | Airport shuttle bus Posted: Tue January 30, 2007 03:27 AM UTC
I plan to stay at Nanjing Danfeng International Hotel, 59-1 Yushi Street, North Floor 5, Nanjing, when I visit a few weeks from now. This hotel rates seem low, about USD9 for a single private w/o bath but is it in a good central location in Xinjiekou? Is there a better one I should consider?
Oh yes, where can I find the airport shuttle bus at Nanjing airport to go downtown Xinjiekou? I don't want to spring for a taxi(Y150 I've heard) since I'm travelling alone. Details on how to take the airport bus, transfers, etc. greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

USD9 is not bad for a room with bath.
You can take airport shuttle from Nanjing Lukou International Airport and may take off at Zhonghua Men, then take a metro/subway to Xinjiekou. Of course it will cost over hundred RMB for a taxi from airport caz it's an hour trip.

Hi neverstoptravel
Thanks, and where does one find the airport shuttle bus? I don't want to look like a foreigner(when I can look like a local :D) who's just landed, asking where is the bus. Is it to the left or right of the main exit, upstairs or down? What's the bus number? I don't even know if Nanjing airport is huge or just average sized. Btw USD9 for room without bath......must be a small one. Room with bath is about USD25.

Nanjing Lukou International Airport is a mid sized one and you may find the shuttle easily at exit.
There is only one line running bound for Nanjing city so that you will not board the wrong one. It dosen't matter you look like a foreigner or local.

I have put a tip in about the shuttle bus and using shuttle buses throughout China on my China pages.
We found it quite easy to use them- they were usually just outside the main entrance of the airport.

You may consider Jin's Inn Xinjiekou Nanjing. A single room costs less than USD18 per night.
http://www.jinsinn.com/en/memberinn/nj_xinjiekou/index.asp It is owned by Jinling Hotel that is the best 5-star hotel in Nanjing. Check out the Airport Transport section at http://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/jiangsu

You're welcome.
Aren't we used to the wet weather in Vancouver anyway? :-)
