We will be in Hong Kong from feb 4 to 18 and I would like to visit a friend in Xiamen for two/three days. Can anyone inform me of cheaper options than flying (airticket cost about 250 euros) and how long they take/how much they cost? Many thanx!

Check airfares from Shenzhen to Xiamen and then add the cost of the cheap ferry from Tsim Sha Tsui to Shenzhen airport (Fuyong port).

Hi, welcome to Xiamen!
There is shuttle bus between Xiamen and Hongkong, and the rate is between HK$290 and HK$350, it usually start from HK at night and arrive Xiamen the next morning. :) Cheers. Jefferson
