| Nerja | Frigliana Posted: Sat January 27, 2007 12:13 PM UTC
We are going to be staying in Nerja, if we want tovisit Frigliana do you think it is necessary to hire a car or is there a bus service there?
Thanks Diane |

there is a bus service - bus station is at the top if the town - you can also get buses east (Granada, Almunecar ...), west towards Malaga where you must go see the Picasso museum. Frigiliana is very pretty, you could take the bus there and if you're reasonably fit walk down the dry river bed to Nerja.

No need to hire a car. There is a good bus service between Nerja and Frigiliana, running from Nerja 720, 945, 1100, 1200, 1330, 1500, 1600, 1900, 2030 and back at comparable intervals. It costs less than 1 Euro per passenger for a single journey.
The bus leaves Nerja from the top of the town and passes through the 'new' part of Frigiliana before stopping at the foot of the old village before making the return trip. The taxi rank is also here, so you can always take a cab back to Nerja if you don't want to wait for the bus. More expensive, of course, but if you have worn yourself out walking up and down the village and had a bottle of wine over a meal in one of the village's excellent restaurants, you might well think the cost justified.
