I have no doubt that Bill's link will give a fuller discussion that this but basically SITA but to Amalfi, easy transfer for SITA bus to Ravello. The only problem is that some have had difficulties with the busses and the schedules for the busses not being closely related.
I have driven this trip - as much as the driving difficulties are mentioned here, I think that a lot of the difficulties are exaggerated particularly if you do not drive west of Amalfi over towards Positano. The road between Vietre and the turnoff for Ravello is just not that awful at all. For an idea of the road from Amalfi to Ravello I have an image on my transportation tip on Ravello. Ravello is spectacularly beautiful.

As said above, definitely bus to Amalfi then trasfer to Ravello. On your way back from Amalfi to Salerno, sit at the front of the bus on the right side to scare yourself silly (every time the bus turns a corner it'll look like you're going to fall over the edge).
