I am thinking of staying at this hotel while I am in Dortmund in a few weeks.
Is this University area a bit out of town and bleak / empty - Or are there still bars and eateries within a short distance of the Hotel / Area? Thanks Dortmunders! |

I've stayed there 2 years ago. The hotel and uni is not exactly in downtown, it's a varied topography there and both the uni and the hotel are located on a hilltop. The nearby parts of town have a partly village-like appearance. Even though it's not exactly downtown, I don't think you will have to walk longer than maybe 5 minutes to find a nice restaurant or pub.
