From Odawara in the morning with hikari shinkansen to Hiroshima and continue with JR local line to Miyajima. short trip there back by JR train and streetcar to Hiroshima Peace Park. o/n Hiroshima

(Cannot remember exact travel time to Hiroshima from Odawara) but you could arrive in Hiroshima approx. noon. The local JR train to Mijayima is 1 hr. JR Ferry to Mijayima is about 20 min. So you COULD be in Mijayima approx. 2pm or 3pm. But you will have no time to go back and visit the peacepark (the museum is a must). (the streetcar is about 1 1/2 hrs back and 20 min for the ferry again.. And Mijayima really deserves more time for a relaxed exploration it so nice there ! Its not worth it to do it in 1 day. Why not travel to Hiroshima, visit the Peace park and the city (the castle is nice too) and spent the night there and visit Mijayima the next day and return back in the evening ?? Much more relaxed.
