Ko Phangan Travel Forum

Hi guys,
We are going to be on Koh Phangan for the April FMP and are looking at staying at 'the Sancutary'. We have been told that this is a really chilled out kind of place, where people just do their own thing and the whole place has a magical feel?

Our friends told us that the beach there is the nearest thing to Ibiza, where you can wear as little or as much as you like and nobody cares?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

hi! i spent 4 days at the sanctuary in january and really loved it. it has a unique atmospehere where yes, everyone does their thing but there's also a community feel. not sure how much nudity i saw there. for 900 baht i had my own little bungalow with balcony and sea view and separate shower room (with squat toilet and cold water - i think you have to pay over 2000 bhat for hot water!) the food is amazing with a huge menu and the spa treatments are gorgeous. i'd definitely recommend the place and hope to get back there one day. let me know if you go! all the best, claire
