<Looking for quiet clean accomodation in Montanita with hot water. Preferably a cabana. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. dentisto

There is a place called arena guadua. They offer nice, cozy, spatious cabanas with hot water just in front of the sea and a surf point called la punta. Also they are located abit outside of the center of montanita and that for it should be quiet.

Otherwise I dont know any cabanas. But there are several clean hostals in Montanita that offer hot water...

While in Montanita we stayed at Hosteleria Sol y Mar, located to the far right of the beach, away from the crowds and the nearest to La Punta.... Next door, there is a smaller hosteleria, named Hostel Nico, which is owned by the cousin of the owner of the one we stayed... A well-known and popular character in town, who is said to be the best diver in the area! His place has his name.

the nicest hotel in montaņita is the Montezuma hostal in the center. Bamboo-styled rooms in the upper floor with private balcon and view even to the punta, the river and the beach center right in front. We rented a room for our group of 9 persons and had incredible parties up in the rooms with beach view from the bed and also autside in caņa grill and the fogata.The two party pools on the balcon of the first floor are increadible, having some cuba libres in nice company and waching the trouble on the street in the center of town.
Montaņita is great, the place anybody got to go in ecuador.
