Essaouira Travel Forum

Hi we were in Essaouira in December and bought rugs from Bazar Ifoulki. We have not yet received them and was wondering if anyone knows how long it would take from there to australia.

Ive had a number of carpets sent to me here in london - and to my relatives in Australia - none have gone missing but can take quite a lengthy time - i know it can be worrying but seems to be quite normal to have to wait up to 2 to 3 months!!
some have arrived quickly - all luck of the draw and the shipping times too i think.
friends of mine had some sent to them in slovenia from my contacts in morrocco and they were worried too but they did eventually arrive after about 8 or 10 weeks.
a couple of times ive been waiting to eventually be told that they ended up being sent back to the sender!! wierd things do sometimes happen with the morocco post etc such as that, but generally big and expensive items such as carpets rarely go missing.

You've got as much chance of seeing them rugs again as I have of winning tomorrow's Marrakech marathon.

from morocco to australia that will take minimum 1 month
