I will be in San Juan 3rd week in March and while I am there I would like to take a day trip to St. Thomas. Can anyone give me an idea of how much I shoudl expect to pay? Thanks.

I think airfare is a little less than $200 There is a ferry that runs from San Juan and St. Thomas. I forget the cost. It only runs once a week or less if memory serves me correctly. Let me know if you find cheaper transport. I would be interested.

American Eagle & Cape Air fly between the main airport in San Juan and St. Thomas many times a day. Cape Air has website (www.flycapeair.com) and an 800 number where you can check their fares. (800-352-0714).. There is also a seaplane that flies from Old San Juan to downtown St. Thomas that is a very interesting alternative, where you land right in the harbor and taxi up to a dock. They have a roundtrip fare of $178 available sometimes. They, too, have a web site at www.seaborneairlines.com and a toll free number at 888-flytour. Enjoy your visit.
