which train is better from delhi to agra
the shatabdi or the the taj express
in terms of timing & comfort & luxury

also the indian rail site is too confusing
so how do i book b get details of these 2 trains or if there is any other train too

Delhi to Agra.
Train 2002 departs New Delhi daily at 06:00 and gets to Agra Cant at 08:10
EC = Rs 720
CC = Rs 370
Or
Train 2180 departs Hazrat Nizamuddin daily at 07:15 and gets to Agra Cant at 10:07
CC = Rs 266
Agra to Delhi
Do not rely on long distance trains to get from Agra to Delhi, these can easily be 4 - 8 hours late.
The Taj Express (train 2179) departs Agra Cant daily at 18:55 and gets to Nizamuddin (Delhi) at 22:05.
The Bhopal Shatabdi (train 2001) departs Agra Cant daily at 20:43 and gets to New Delhi at 23:05.

you can also check this timetable for your ref. but u might be confused again...

All those 'N's and 'Y's simply refer to the days of the week (starting with Monday) that the train runs at that time.

thank u so much

i took the shatabdi express and did not regret it. it was fast, safe, and i was served a hot breakfast -- all that for 720 RS. from agra, i felt a bit adventurous and took a commuter bus to jaipur (7 hours - it was rough but FUN!)

hi....its very simple to book a train...just go to the train station...ask for a form...fill it out...BUT PLEASE BOOK IN ADVANCE...if it is not tourist season from dec to may...it is indian holiday season after may...SO BOOK IN ADVANCE.
go 3A 6 people in a berth.....and try the food that comes on at every station
