Isla de Gran Canaria using a laptop in Gran Canaria
Posted: Fri January 19, 2007 05:27 PM UTC
We are going on a family holiday to Puerto Mogan in Gran Canaria my son would like to use his Toshiba laptop. Obviously we would need a plug adaptor but would the currency be ok for the laptop, it is a new laptop. Also any other tips on Puerto Mogan would be appreciated, I do know its a quieter area which is what we like, we are staying at the Mogan Valle appartments
Thanks

Isla de Gran Canaria RE: using a laptop in Gran Canaria

The paperwork that came with the laptop will tell you what voltage range it can work on.
If you are from the UK or Europe it will be ok.
If from the USA etc, might not be, depends on the adapter.
Quite often these work between 100 - 250 V, 50 - 60 Htz, so would be ok if thats the case.
The Canaries are nominally at 230V, 50Htz.
