| Paradise Island | Atlantis Resort Posted: Thu January 18, 2007 03:14 PM UTC
I will be traveling to Paradise Island in Feb. I am staying at a resort within walking distance to Atlantis...I know Atlantis allows tourists access to their hotel and aquariun (with a charge)...do they allow tourists access to the waterpark if you pay a charge as well?

Hi there, i'm not sure about that but i do know that it is definately worth a visit.
We stayed at the Atlantis Hotel on Paradise Island of Bahamas a few years ago and it was the experience of a lifetime! The hotel is a wow, with the aquarium in the lobby and also smaller aquariums around the grounds. It is a must to see. The water slides are amazing, especially the vertical drop into a tunnel which shoots through a pool of sharks. The casino is in the centre of the hotel and is alive day and night. Every restaurant is fabulous. It is a real experience. Have fun..............hope you get to see it all. Mark and Lisa

If you look at the answer to the post just before yours you will see that they do not allow use of their facilities to non-guests of the hotel.

I can tell you that when we were there a few years ago they did allow non guests access to the water park but the daily fee was pretty steep like around $40 for the day in which they provided a wrist band which gave you access. One enterprising employee overheard us discussing if we wanted to pay the $40 PP for 4 of us said if I slipped him $20 pp he would get the wrist bands for us. We didn't take him up on it but probably should have since $40 is highway robbery. I didn't check the last time we visited Atlantis which was just in September so I don't know if they still have the $40 "bargain" or not.

They are no longer selling day passes to the water activities. It changed when they opened the new Aquaventure.
