Bodrum south african let loose in greece!

i would like to go from athens to naxos, santorini, rhodes and then to bodrum and on to istanbul. can i ferry from rhodes to bodrum and bus to istanbul? any helpful tips will be appreciated. i don't have much time and would like to get a feel of both the greek isles and turkey.

Yes, there's a ferry from Rhodes to Bodrum.

Yes, there are buses from Bodrum to Istanbul. Stop at Ephesus, near Izmir, on the way. Stay nearby in the small town of Selcuk.

If you are south african passport holder, have you "cleared" your visa?
As in checked out if you need to apply in your country first....????
I'm not 100% sure but I think that South African passport holders (still) have to apply for visa in their country before entering Turkey. I have a tip with an url for countries-visa-costs at my Turkey page (only tip there).

Do check that out before you are stuck on the ferry in Bodrum and not allowed to buy visa at arrival.

Thank you. I have an irish passport. Surely that will be ok?
Is the Kalender Hotel in Bodrum ok? Is it near the beach?
