I'm travelling to Thailand in late March and want to stop in Ko Ban Khai. Can anyone advise on getting from Bangkok to Had Rin? Looking ideally for bus and boat. Have been looking but not found many prices for boats or buses.

hi, the fastest is to fly to samui but there is a night train to surat thanni bus to the pier and a boat directly to koh phangan (tong sala ) then a local taxi to haad rin. most agents sell the train bus and boat ticket combined but obviously dont include the taxi from tong sala to haad rin. even first class by train will only set ya back about £25 one way but the 2nd class sleepers are fine and there will be loads travelling down that way. les
