Dear VT forummers,

Am planning to go to Yogya soon and would like to enquire about the approximate day tour prices per person for tourist attractions such as Borobudur, Prambanan, Mount Merapi, etc.

Where can I book these tours? At the hotel or Maliaboro street? Which/where is cheaper?

BTW, has Prambanan reopened to tourists?

I hire a private car and driver who provide a whole day service from my hotel. But, found out that there're numbers of taxi or private cars outside the airport or around tourist area. You don't have to get the day tour service from your hotel or tour agency, simply talk to any taxi they might give you better rate.

At Malioboro street, find Circle K and turn right. That's Sosrowijayan street. There are several small tour agents there. Borobudur tour is 40000rupiah. Borobudur + prambanan 50000rupiah. and many choices of other tours. Last month I went to Prambanan, it's already open for tourist but still in renovation, so we couldn't go inside each of the temple

ii) is the stage performance near Prambanan available around April/May?
iii) any motorbike rent / available?

-i don't know about merapi tour, but i'm going to yogya tomorrow, so i can check that out for you and let you know. when are you planning to go to yogya?
-motorcycle rent is around 55-100k rupiahs a day, near malioboro street (i forgot the name of the street) there are several places that rent motorbikes.

anybody wantedspecial rate for Merapi trip, can look for agent next to ViaVia Cafe. I rented bike from them & all of info available there.
