How far is the walk into the center of town...the main pubs, restaurants, etc? Also, is this a wise location for those traveling without a car?

the town itself is so small that you dont have to walk for long in order to get to the pubs or take a cruise to meet funghi the dolphin.
As soon as you like to explore the landscape, Dingle-drive, Gallarus oratory, Connor-pass you need a car for sure.

I do apologize...I thought my query was going to be in direct response to a review I was reading. Sorry about the confusion.

I was referring to the Dingle Quayside B&B...any idea?

As far as the out of town sites, can you get to these places by taxi? I am probably staying for 10 days and have no desire but to relax and take it easy, however, I would like to hit up some of the walking paths and take in the scenery...do you think this would be doable?

renting a bike might be nice for the Dingle-Drive + the oratory
For the Connor-pass you might take a taxi to go up and walk down.

Best on foot, Walking off the Guinness from the night before! but a little too hard on the legs for a walk to Connor Pass. if you come into the Dingle peninsula from Castlegregory you will see it then as you have to come over the pass to get to Dingle town.

How far of a walk is it from Connor Pass? I have consulted a few guides...but nothing really helps. If you have any info, I would appreciate the help.

We stayed at the quayside and loved it. walk anywhere in town, as in all the pubs, but we did not have a car and couldn't get out the penninsula because there are tours but they want more then 2 people to make it worth their while and it was January and after hanging out at the tourist office for what seemed like forever, hoping for someone else to want a tour, the guy who captained the fungi boat offered to take us out.

Can't imagine anyone walking to the Conor Pass, it is a huge climb. But if there is bus service to and from Castlegregory you might do it that way.

Also, there is local bus service to Killarney, although it may not be very frequent; there are websites, I think, where you can look this information up. I've stayed many times at Inch on the Dingle pensinsula and saw local buses going to and from Dingle.

One place you'll have to try (right on the quayside) is Out of the Blue---terrific seafood, very fresh and tasty.

The Quayside is in town, you'll be better off without a car unless the plan is to leave town.
