| Andorra | By train from Spain Posted: Sun January 14, 2007 04:04 PM UTC
Hello,
We are planning a holiday in Spain next summer. We are thinking of buying a interrail-ticket and travel around Spain, maybe visiting Marocco as well. If we decide to travel to Andorra as well, is it possible by train? How long time it does take e.g. from Barcelona? What are "must do and see" things in Andorra? Is ine day and night enough? |

There are buses that go from Girona, Barcelona, Tarragona and other places.
try: andorrabybus.com Andorra is about 3.5 hours north of Barcelona depending on how fast a bus you get. You could get a feel for Andorra in a weekend. But each of the small villages have some unique qualities to offer, so I'd recommend more than a few days.

"must do and see" things in Andorra should be to explore the most remote and small villages, hike, relax, indulge yourself with the local specialties, visit the Romanic churches... A few hours at Caldea luxury spa are a must as well. As said above, you need a few days to get this.
Unfortunately most people go to Andorra as daytrip, just for shopping in the incredibly ugly main towns.
