Hoi An	Any information on Palm Gardens Resort Posted: Sun January 14, 2007 02:03 AM UTC We are going to Hoi An in the middle of the year and we are planning on staying at the beach in Hoi An. We have been tossing up the pro and cons of a few of the resorts down at the beach, but I have not been able to find one report on the Palm Gardens Resort at Hoi An beach on VT. Has anyone stayed there recently, and if so, what were the impressions of the Palm Gardens Resort. We are going to Hoi An in the middle of the year and we are planning on staying at the beach in Hoi An.

We have been tossing up the pro and cons of a few of the resorts down at the beach, but I have not been able to find one report on the Palm Gardens Resort at Hoi An beach on VT.

Has anyone stayed there recently, and if so, what were the impressions of the Palm Gardens Resort. It is listed as a five star property, however, I have found star ratings in SE Asia to be highly ambiguous.

You're right, star ratings in Asia are ambiguous! Palm Gardens is a nice resort. Top end beachside bungalows, similar to Laguna in Thailand, set in lovely green gardens, the staff are friendly & very polite. They were empty when we stayed: they did us a great deal - for a room rate, they gave us a beach front villa. While staying in Hoi An we used www.hoian.co.uk to find restaurants, bars & even a good hairdresser. Palm Gardens restaurants & bars were expensive compared to the prices we found in town. Realy enjoyed staying on the beach in Hoi An at Palm gardens beach resort.
