Hi There,

I was wondering if there are any water taxis from Singapore to Bintan Island. We are arriving at Changi Airport at 1710 and hope to make the last ferry which I believe is 2000. If not is there any other way to get to Bintan Island??

You can take a ferry to Bintan from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal, which is a short taxi ride distance from Changi Airport. There should be more than sufficient time between your arrival and getting to the Ferry Terminal and getting your ticket for the Bintan Trip. You can also book the ticket online via free internet kiosk located within Changi Airport (before immigration and customs).

I believe you are going to the resorts? If yes, then the previous reply applies.

If you are going to the Tanjung Pinang side of P.Bintan, then you have to grab ferries from Harbourfront.

Many thanks for your information, but I really wanted to know if there is an alternative to the last ferry to Bintan, as we are flying back from the UK arriving at Changi Airport at 1710, just in case the plane is late. We are heading home to Oz and are hoping to spend a few days R & R at MAYANG SARI resort. Also we noticed that we will need a visa and the alternatives seem to be 3 days or 30 day visas, as we are staying only 5 days what is the best alternative.

No, no alternatives, mate. You'll have to bank on the fact that your plane isn't late.

Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal isn't far from Changi Airport - you can grab a taxi down.
