I would like to go to Songkhla. Could you all can help me to choose the hotel near to The Islamic commitee? I also want to know where I can find the halal stall. I will go to hadyai by bus from KL. How can i find the road map in songkhla?

there are many fantastic muslim foods in hatyai town and muslim seafoods
in songkhla beach which is located further 35km away north of hatyai.
if from kl advice you to take the consortium double decker bus from puduraya
leaves at 10pm excellent service and confortable ride :)

i can't find any good maps for songkhla but you can get hi-res maps of hatyai

Hi, hope it wldn't be too late to answer ur qns.
Songkhla is a nice small town and u wont get lost very far by getting familiar with landmarks eg Pavillion hotel,Greenworld Hotel,BP Samila Resort, Samila beach, Watzila area, Market, Thalat pethai's (Night market)...Islamic community is spread around the whole of Songkhla though most of them are fishermen.There one hotel near a masjid, Lake Inn is nearby and theres a couple of Islam restaurants. Wonderful seafood can be found in Samila beach eg, Aminah's.

Travel to SKL frm HDY
1) Taxi-cost abt 240 baht per taxi one way from HDY songkhla taxi stand or join d queue @ 40Baht per person x 7 or 8 pax in a pick-up.Travel time 30mins.
2) HDY-SKL bus abt 40baht per pax - Travel time 1 hr up.
