Vigan Travel Forum

Hi, my friends and I are going to Laoag on January 20, 21 and 22. Our plan is, after arriving in Laoag airport we're heading to Vigan. What Bus should we get onto to go to Vigan, and how much is the fare? How long is the travel time?
What is the cheapest hotel/inn could we stay in for just one night? And after Vigan we're going to Pagudpud to relax and unwind, are there busses that will go to Pagudpud from Vigan?? How much is the fare and how long is the travel time? What are the cheapest hotel/inn that we could stay in for a night?

cant answer your querries, just wondering why go back to vigan when your already in laoag. i was thinking you should head for pagudpud first. then on your way back to manila, pass by vigan.

Our plane tickets are straight to Laoag.
Actually our plan was Laoag then go to Pagudpud, but since we're already in the area we might as well go to Vigan for sight seeing.

if you've got return tickets (mla-laoag-mla) then it doesnt matter whether you're heading for pagudpud or vigan first. i meant if you're heading back to manila by land, its more practical to head north first towards pagudpud after your arrival in laoag than go south to vigan then go north again for pagudpud. sana hindi ka nalito hehe..

Laoag to Vigan is a good 2 hours bus ride, and last year (May 2006) the fare is P125 on a regular Partas aircon bus, i don't know if they still have the same rate but its safe to put it at between P150-200 to leave extra room for some increase. I cannot answer you on buses that go directly from Vigan to Pagudpud, but what i can tell you is for you to go back to Laoag and get the bus that go directly to Pagudpud, a mini-bus fare is P75 (May 2006) for 1.5 hrs of travel.

Your Laoag-Vigan-Laoag-Pagudpud is a bit tiring and takes away about at least halfday of you time travelling when you should be relaxing already in pagudpud. I agree with the above suggestion that you just take the Vigan route after pagudpud, anyway touring Vigan will not take you whole day.
