Hey
Going to Nottingham for a weekend in March. Just wondering if anybody has any recommendations for pubs/clubs. Don't mind studenty type places or young professional. Just not chavvy!! Clubs packed full of great looking women will be given priority!!!

Hi
A great pub to visit is the Trip to Jerusalem, arguably the oldest pub in England.

Where to start, I lived in Notts for three years and didn't get to all the bars. So in the town centre you have the bars round the bottom of the Warner Brothers cinema, these are full of 'trendies' most of the bars in Notts seem to be for them now.
There's the Lace Market area with a Pitcher and Piano and some bars opposite, they keep changing the names of them.
In Hockley there's loads, from the trendy Social to the chavvy Lloyds ( a warning to keep clear). There's Wax bar which is off one of those streets, just ask someone where it is, sorry I can't remember street nams but it's the one with Revolution on (another chavvy one) I hope the Broadway cinema's bar is still open as that was lovely.
The Malt Cross is great, it's in an old theatre, downstairs is non-smoking. This is down the street from the town square with a Lloyds bank and what used to be The Bell Inn on the corners.
Other places to avoid would be The Square, The Weatherspoons near it.
There's lots more but I can't remember any street names I'm afraid, I just walked around in a drunken stupor whilst at uni there.....
Good luck.
