Anaheim Travel Forum

We are making our first trip to Anaheim and area in Feb. Two adults and 3 children age 8 13 and 16. Can anyone recommend a good tour company to take us o areas outside of Anaheim such as Universal Studios ,Knotts Berry Farm,and The Citadel Shopping Outlet? My husband refuses to rent a car as hates the traffic.

KnottsBerry Farm is in the next city over, but just a few miles from Disneyland and shouldn't be much of a problem getting to. I suggest you check with your hotel. They usually have pamplets that offer tours to most of these places, sometimes the hotel itself will offer the transportation.

If you have a hotel in Anaheim then you can take a Shuttle to Universal Studios. You just need to purchase the full price ticket from them and they provide a bus ride up there.

Depending on what his idea of traffic is. Outside of the Rush Hours traffic in OC is not bad. However, the I-5 is pretty bad consistantly between the 91(Knotts) and the Citadel which is in LA County.

Knotts and the Citadel are relativly close so you might want to check if your Hotel has a Shuttle to them. If not you can check out someone like Greyline. They provide tours to these places.

Everyone has had good advice so far. The only thing I would add is that depending on the type of outlet shopping you're used to, The Citadel might not be worth the trip. It's on the small side, and (in my opinion) the shops there don't have the best deals. If you're determined to outlet shop, though, it's about the only option in LA without driving out to Palm Springs.
