| Luxembourg | Family Fun??? Posted: Sat January 6, 2007 03:46 AM UTC
hello!! I just finished organizing the trip to Brugge for the family, making sure the kids will be entertained as much as possible. Now I need to do a day plan for Luxembourg. Does anyone know of family oriented things that will keep a 16 year old.. 9 year old and 11 year old's attention? I've gone on the sites, and looked through here but nothing so far.
I was hoping someone might have a "secret weapon" of some sort :) Thanks so much!! |

The Bock Casements should be interesting to all ages for an hour or two. It is a fort that consists of 23 kms of tunnels inside the cliffs. The site is over 1000 years old and the tunnels were used for shelter during WW2. Details, prices, and photos are in Things to do tips on my Luxembourg page.

I thought the Petrusse Express might appeal to people of all ages, it's a pleasant 50 minute ride on a tram, designed to look like a train, that starts from the Place de la Constitution down through the Grund via the Petrusse and Alzette Valleys. It was 8E for adults, didn't notice what it was for kids. They give you headphones for commentary or I suppose you could just look at the view.
We didn't have time for the casements but they looked very interesting!
