Hi...

I'm B Y, new member hoping to learn more here.

Planning to travel to China in August and Chongqing is part of the travel.

1. Which shore excursion is better, Shennong Stream or Less Three Gorges?

2. Visit to Dazu Grottoes, stay overnight in Chongqing, travel next morning or go direct to Dazu, visit early next morning? Arriving CQ early afternoon.


Appreciate any comments. Details will be good.

I might be wrong, but I thought you can only visit the Lesser 3 Gorges if you go on the 3 Gorges cruise?

That's my dilemna, to go on a cruise that has shore excursion to Lesser Three Gorges or to one that has shore excursion to Shennongxi.

All cruise downstream has either one depending on the departure date in August but do not include both shore excursions on the same cruise.

Both shore excursions seems to be very good.

I'd prefer the Lesser 3 Gorges, from what I've heard it seems to be the highlight of many travellers' 3 Gorges cruise.

Of course,Lesser three gorges is better than Shennong stream.

I think it better off for you to stay in Chongqing for a night when you arrive, then go to Dazu next day morning and come back Chongqing in the evening. Please contact jimmy_yj88@yhoo.com.cn for details.
