Sorry to ask such a prude question, but am planning a trip to Bora Bora with 2 pre-teen kids. What's the usual beach/pool attire: full suit, topless, or less? Also, are there different beaches for people of different suit persuasions or is it a big mix?

The beach at our hotel, InterContinental Resort and Thalasso Spa Bora Bora, did not have topless people. Usual beach attire - bikinis, swimsuits, speedos.

I am going on my second honeymoon in May and fully plan to be topless... guess its a matter of choice. From what I hear, anything pretty much goes.

We went there with my mum & dad and my two younger sisters (age 11 and 13) a few months ago. The beaches were good and topless was normal.
During summer at home in Australia we are usually all nude around our home swimming pool and topless in the house. I guess we live a liberal life at home and found Bora Bora very much to our liking. No hassles or harassment. My 11 year old sister is just beginning to develop, while the 13 year old is now very much a woman. Neither of them gets self-conscious about this - probably because of their upbringing.
