| Zeebrugge | Zeebrugge to Bruges by boat Posted: Fri December 29, 2006 03:12 PM UTC
We would like to take our motor boat (31') up the canal to Bruges sometime in May or June 2007. How much will it cost us to use the canal, are there any restrictions etc., what are the facilities and approximately how long will it take us?

| Zeebrugge | RE: Zeebrugge to Bruges by boat Posted: Fri December 29, 2006 03:55 PM UTC You will need to have the boat registered in your home country, and have the paperwork in order. When you arrive you will need to buy a "vignette" which will cost you 25 and 100 Euro depending on size and speed of your boat. There is a yacht harbor with facilities in Brugge, at walking distance from the old town. It's website: http://www.yachtclubflandria.be/ You might want to consider coming in via Oostende. The route is nicer, and the bridges and locks are also operated on Sundays on this route. Travel time Oostende - Brugge is about 5 hours, from Zeebrugge it might be a bit less.
