Does anyone know about Torres del Paine?
Posted: Sun July 27, 2003 12:55 AM UTC
Hi there...

My friends and I are planning about trekking in Torres del Paine, and visiting the surrounding areas...
Has anyone already met this part of the country (this amazing final part of the world actually...=)?
Any advice would be very WELCOME, about climate, best attractions, campings etc....

Thanx!

For some tips on Torres del Paine have a look at the following VT page:

http://www.virtualtourist.com/vt/s/?m=0&c=4&s=torres+del+paine

You might want to contact some of the VT members who have been there to ask more specific questions then!

I wish you a wonderful trip!

Christine

the climate in Torres del paine is windy,cold and tricky and the best is to go in summer ( december to february ); I've been to Parque Nacional los Glaciares ( near Torres del Paine in Argentina )in early march and it snowed in the city at 13:00! if you go to Torres del Paine a good idea is to go to El Calafate and from there to Torres del paine by bus, the trip is cheaper in that way;
