Which currency to take and where to get it from?
Posted: Fri December 29, 2006 01:07 PM UTC
Going to Belgrade next year from the UK. I presume I'll be able to get to a cashpoint on arrival at the airport to get some Dinars out, but is it possible to get hold of any before I go. My bank doesn't issue them, and as far as I can see, no place else does either.

Thanks

Hi!

Some exchange money offices can offer you RSD currency usualy at the airports that operates direct flights with Belgrade.

However better don't count on this as it is not always the case.

Don't worry anyway, you can do that upon arrival.

Cheers,
Dusan

There are ATMs all around Serbia. I have visa and master for a long time and haven`t any problems so far. Even so when I was abroad.
Commisions at ATMs and exchange offices are the same wherever you go in Serbia, so feel totaly safe with your money. We are democratic country.
1 euro=80 dinars approx.

Don't forget the transaction fee while taking money out of ATM! It can be a killer :)

Hello,

If you want to take cash, take EUROS, it will be the easiest to exchange. You can do it in any bank or exchange office... And you ll see a bank on any corner.
Also ATMs are everywhere, and almost all stores accept VISA and MASTER card.
I use my cards all the time and I never have problems.
As someone wrote above 1 euro is approximately 80 dinars(RDS).

Have a safe trip and nice time in Serbia:)
