| San José | Driving from NYC to Costa Rica Posted: Wed December 27, 2006 08:30 AM UTC
in a week or so, i am planning to drive to costa rica, via mexico, guatemala, nicauragua. was wondering if anyone has done this recently, and if so what route was taken? I plan to move as swiftly as possible to costa rica, to maximize my time there... is it realistic to depart nyc on the Jan 2nd and arrive in Costa Rica on Jan. 7th??
recommendations on gas, bribes, maps and routes would be greatly appreciated.. also, I am headed down there solo, so if anyone needs a ride or wants an adventure, shoot me an e-mail... a little about me.. i am 26, documentary filmmaker, plan on listening to a wide array of music on the way south |

Don’t know how long it takes to drive from nyc to mexico, but only for mexico, guatemala, honduras and nicaragua I supose you will need several days.
