| Ko Chang | Is the Treehouse on Lonely Beach still open? Posted: Fri December 22, 2006 12:39 AM UTC
I spent a few weeks on Lonely Beach back in March, and remember there being talk of the Treehouse closing down. Although I wasn't staying in their huts, I found the place along with Nature Rocks a fun place to hang out in the evenings. Does anyone know if the Treehouse on Lonely Beach is still open, and, if possible, for how long ? (am thinking of going back in January!)

It's not actually a hotel, it's a big set of simple wooden huts with shared bathrooms. If you're looking for a bit nicer accommodation, ie hotels, I'd recommend White Sands although there were a couple of more upmarket places at Lonely Beach when I was there in March. The average price at the time for a simple wooden hut with a plug, a fan and a mosquito net was about 150-300 baht.
