Beijing beijing and spring festival
Posted: Wed December 20, 2006 08:53 AM UTC
i was wondering about beijing from the 16th-20th of february 2007! i know its crazy busy because of new years... But i was wondering if all the beijing attractions were SO SO SO busy, that its no use going to them! like the great wall- Mutianyu and Simitai- and the forbidden city and stuff like that! will those places be packed full of people? any experiences or advice? so i go or go some where else for the new year eve? I really wanna see a HUGE fire work show. And i mean MAMMOTH fire work show... and i know beijing and shanghai will have one- anywhere else if beijing is gonna be toooooooooooo busy to see?
Thanks once again

Beijing China during Chinese New Year

If you want the best HUGE fireworks show, consider Chinese New Year (CNY) in Hong Kong.
Simatai's busy status during CNY is forecast to be around a single SO, not SO SO SO. The Forbidden City will be more crowded than usual, but not unbearably so.
You want my advice? Spend a day in Yangliuqing, a village near Tianjin. There you will see many old New Year traditions celebrated in the style and surroundings that bring you back hundreds of years to the way "stuff like that" was during the last dynasty.

The answer is yes. It will be quite busy in China during Spring Festival Time, especially from 17th-20th 2007. But all attractions will be available. And i really recommend you to come that time because you will find something quite, quite interesting and different. I have found some usefull information, hope to be useful for you: http://www.sinohotel.com/special.html
