Aloha everyone, I am planing a trip to Cusco for the first time in June 2007, was wondering if there are others going around this time? I am interested in all the ancient sites and going to Machu Picchu...
I had a strong dream of being in Peru and have desided i should go, anyone else here interested in 2012 and prophecy? well ill get as much info as I can..

I live in Canada and I decided to go to Peru but trying a different concept of travel, ecological and cultural trips. Actually, I think about how to combine pleasure with work. I would work there or volonteer.. Think about that.. Still didn have a time to research on that but plan to post a question here

I'm going to be in Peru/Cusco from mid June for about 4 weeks. I'm planning on getting to Cusco for the Inti Raymi Festival - 24th June, then studying spanish and perhaps volunteering. If any of you have heard good/bad stuff about the spanish schools and volunteer programs, let me know.

I'm leaving my plans open but will definitely book a Macchu Picchu Inca Trail trek for the weekend after Inti Raymi (30/6 - 3/7).

What are you plans? I'm happy to meet up somewhere if our itineraries match.

That is great! I dont know much about Cusco so I can not say which school is good and which is not. I think I will come and ask people there.. I plan learning Spanish too. Somebody from ambassy sent me a list of schools ( I dont know if there are good, probably they are) I can resent it to you if YOu write your email adress

I know some other girls that plan to go there! I planned to arrive at the beginning of June, however I can not confirm it now.

I see them in a copule of days and ask what they plan and let you know.

From what I understand, June/July is their peak season so it could be recommended to organise volunteer work and classes before hand. But then, I'm sure there have to be something available if just turn up and figure it out from there.

I'll be heading to Peru in June too. I've timed the trip to coincide with the Inti Raymi festival and will be following one of the classic trails as recommended in LP guide, passing thru Nazca and Puno.

I'm still in the middle of making reservations, since I'm travelling independantly. Do mail if you're interested in sharing information.

HAve you booked the Incas trail. I have not done it yet, want to do that when I am there. ANd I really want to get to this Festival. Is it in MP? How do you get there?

I would love to meet you there in Cuzco as I will be there the same time as you and I have the same interests as you Have- Learning Spanish, volonteering and cultural experience. I am staying in Peruvian family so I dont take any Spanish course but hope to learn it from the Peruvian family.

Did not have a time to organaze anything as how to get to this Festival and how to book Incas trail
