RE: Weather in December Posted: Sat December 16, 2006 01:17 AM UTC
Hi, I did a camel trek in Zagora in Early September, my pre departure advise was that it was going to be VERY cold at night, and I would need a 3 season sleeping bag, fleece jacket etc. Well it was too warm for all of that,I ended up sleeping on top of my sleeping bag, but was glad of my light weight fleece when the sun went down and in the early morning.
In Marrakech in Aug/Sept it was still hot at night, but when I visited in January it was cold enough at night for a winter coat, scarf, hat, gloves etc.
So I guess that for Your trip it WILL be very cold at night- You'll no doubt need a 3 season sleeping bag, and thick fleeces, jackets etc.
Oh, by the way, I found the camels to be quite uncomfortable-(See my Zagora page (which is still in progress) for more info) make sure your saddle is secure and well padded!!!
Best Wishes,
Sue X
