| Monaco | What to bring from Monaco?... Posted: Fri December 15, 2006 04:32 AM UTC
Hi! My husband will go to Monaco in the end of January 2007 for business trip. I'd like to ask him to bring me something from this amazing small country. We never have been there and we both don't know what people usualy buy there like a present for home. Please, give an advice, what it would be?

Hi Lana,
It is a beautiful place, and very expensive. Just ask him to bring beautiful pictures of it!

Monaco has the Euro,in fact that might make a great souvenir, because they are hard to get for collectors. get some rolls of the small denominations and you always have a nice present for a collector.
BUT I tried something similar in Vatican, and they simply SELL their own coins for extra prices in a shop, while you get coins from all other countries as a change, when you buy a postcard in their souvenirshop.

Monaco has very few specialities of its own. It has a long tradtion of producing postage stamps that are worth collecting. Some of those might be a good souvenir.
