| Yakutsk | Swimming Posted: Wed December 13, 2006 11:18 PM UTC
I'm considering a visit to Yakutsk, Russia to see what it's like. I know it can be warm in summers(average high 75 degrees F), but I'm wondering how warm. How often does it get above 80 degrees F in the summer? Can it get warm enough to swim in the river? Is it safe to swim in the Lena River? I've heard it can get above 90. How often does this occur?
