Hello Antwerp! I'm new to the city, moved here since some weeks. Great place! Now I wonder what the options are for new years eve for people not wanting to spend that evening with close relatives, are there any special places to go? I just know about the firework at midnight. Where to meet people? Anybody interested in a VT meeting?

oh what a pity! for the first time in years we are staying home.
Firework is nice. Some pubs will be open but some will only be open for subscribed guests. You could go and see if you can go out for dinner somewhere? There has been some one asking about this for NY eve and I think they are planning to go to the Mongolian restaurant Marco Polo, not far from the river side. they have 1 fix price for dinner and drinks till 2 or 3 am you can leave to see firework and get back. and who knows you can have an unexpected vt meet if those others are there too?
