My husband and I will be travelling to Bergamo in June 2007. How do we get to sirmione,?. We would normally hire a car but have been advised, driving in Sirmione is impossible.

Only the historical center of Sirmione is closed to traffic, and just before there is a lot of parking place.
You can park there, and you'll have no more than 1 km to see all the beautiful village. Ciao Francesco

Take a train from Bergamo to Desenzano and then a bus,taxi,or ferry. Train time is about 1 hour and 20 minutes.
