I am trying to get hold of a telephone number for Kowie Grand Hotel please.

Yep this info is already on VT, along with lots of other stuff. Check the Travel Guide for the location and then Accommodation :-)

The phone number given at that VT page is obviously wrong. (the dialling code for the area is (046) and that must be followed by 5 digits.)

Be that as it may, the Kowie Grand is no longer an hotel, it has been converted to student accommodation.

(The correct looking phone numbers that you may find on Google lead to a residential home where the owner tries to help by giving another wrong number. The tourist info office told me about the hotel being converted.)

It's actually about building a "non-tip", or removing Pee-Wee's dud tip.....

well that's debateable, as often people look for establishments that are no longer operating, and if they find that someone informs them of such, then it is a tip. You could write to PeeWee, but he hasn't logged in since October, so that could be fruitless.
My only involvement here is to try to get viewers to delve further into the site, as in the pages and tips, than to just ask something in the forum. That way they may also find other useful information and get to see the sites attributes more fully.
