Hi returning to guat after many years with our adopted guatemalan daughter, looking for safe reasonably priced family accomodation for upto a week in antigua, also any info on transfers from guat city would be great, hope someone can help as it is fairly difficult to get accurate info here in Australia.

Hi there: I would say that first of all it would depend on when you're travelling to guatemala. Because antigua attracts during christmas not only foreign tourist but guatemalans from other parts of the country too. Some of them show their rates and telephone numbers. Remember for guatemala you have to dial 8 digists after the country code (502) depending on the type and the location of phone you're dialing. At the airport you should be able to find shuttle vans to antigua. Its about $US10 p/p. You buy your ticket inside the terminal.If you need any additional information I'll be glad to help. Good luck.
