Hi!
Manila to Subic by bus is around 3-hrs, transportation fare of PhP . Both Tagaytay (South of Manila) and Pagsanjan (North) are nice places. There are more sites to enjoy except that next week shall be holidays peak where transportation volume are pretty high. Pls advise your interest and we'll advise better place.

| Olongapo City | RE: subic Posted: Tue December 12, 2006 04:31 AM UTC Six months ago i visited subic using a van (which we rented for US$50 a day) it took us about 3 hours to reach subic proper. our driving speed was same pace as buses the highway traffic condition being moderate to normal. However, sometime during the day, traffic builds up heavily along pampanga towns that lead to subic so further delay of 30 min to 1 hour can be expected. Air conditioned bus fare then was about 5-7 US$. Other places near manila which are worth visiting are the towns of laguna (resorts and mountain trails), batangas (beaches) and Quezon (resort, cultural show, museum, etc)

Hi, this is henkvan, journo/travel writer. Check out the victory Liner web site which gives you most routes around Phils. They run hourly to Subic from several depots (see website) Last time I remember the fare from Pasay to Olongapo was less than PHP200 aircon and even cheaper w'out aircon. If you want to mingle with the locals take the non aircon. For them the aircon is too cold and too expensive as well. Enjoy, Henk
