I will be in Eindhoven on 26 December, can i take it that bars and clubs etc will be open as nortmal at thei time of year? Any reccommended places to go? I am a male travelling alone so any info on bars etc welcome. Thanks

December 26 is a public holiday (Tweede Kerstdag); Eindhoven has bars enough that will be open. The center is rather small with maybe 3 streets where most bars are. So, walk arouns first or do some pubcrawling.

PJ there are more than 3 streets in the center :-) stationsplein, dommelstraat, markt, stratumseind (40 Bars or more) wilhelminaplein etc.
most bars will be opened notsure if you can have dinner anywhere because most restaurants will be booked.

Somehow I knew you would say this and I only can say you are right, being our Eindhoven VT expert.
I think it's time for a VT meet next year and to get a new tour of the city guided by you.
