I’m a uni student who's going over with 2 girlfriends in early February and though we know there isn't much "nightlife" does anyone have any tips on where we should go for a good night out? bars, restaurants, clubs etc. Also we were considering doing the jungle paint ball trip.. Is it worth it?

There is a pub at the end of the main drag called the OFFICE PUB. It's owned by an aussie and has the most nightlife and the BEST steaks.
The other alternative is to jump on a bus (mini van) and go to one of the resorts that has something on that night. Also the sunset cruise is a fantastic night.
