Incheon Customs & Transiting through Incheon
Posted: Sun December 10, 2006 01:32 AM UTC
Hi,

Soon I will be flying from Ho Chi Minh to Russia via Incheon. I want to bring back lots of foodstuff, coffee etc but am concerned about them being confiscated at Incheon. I won't be passing through immigrations, just following the transit route, and I am flying all the way with Asiana so will check my bags in from Vietnam to Russia, but can I expect problems nonetheless?

Thanks.

I've transited through Inchon several times, back to the US, which is very strict, and have never had any problems with anything in my checked baggage. In general, I don't think it's something to worry about in the least. I think Inchon is named the #1 airport for intl transiting (at least according to the signs they have around the airport) so I don't think they'd do anything to muck up that ranking!

Hi, thanks - I know they are pretty strict with hand luggage containing food, but good to hear I should be ok with checked in stuff.
