Hello everyone,

we're comming to Frankfurt-Hahn on 26 Januar. According to the map this airport is quite far from Frankfurt. How many km is there? Are buses going to the town?
Maybe there is a smaller town where we could overnight?

Thanks

If I remember correctly, buses leave for Frankfurt shortly after each flight lands. The journey is about 95 minutes. There are some hotels in the vicinity of the airport, if you don;t want to go to Frankfurt.

You can book a transfer to Frankfurt in advance, if you travel with Ryanair. Look at www.lowcostcoach.com. The local travel authority ORN offers a bus link to Mainz Central Station. Traveling time about 70 min. From Mainz Cental Station you can take the Suburban Trains (S-Bahn) to Frankfurt Central Station. The Train take baout 30 min. The Cost are 12-14 EUR for the Bus and 8 EUR for the Train.

Since you are coming to Frankfurt on January 26, we'd be glad to have you come to our Mid-winter Saturday night "Bon Voyage" meeting on January 27 at the Künstlerkeller in Frankfurt with sinequanon (Galatea), who will again be visiting from Athens. Details here:

It would be great if you could come.

By the way, I once made a tip about the bus service between Frankfurt and Hahn:
