Hi All

I am from Yanbu and been here for three months. I need help to convert my Singapore driving license ASAP. I just got my family housing unit and its quite a distance from my workplace and the return taxi fares are killing me.The process here in Yanbu is very tedious and requires a 30 mins taxi journey where I need to make many many trips there to attend lessons , practice etc....I have used up almost all my leave for this and some other documentation process requirements.

I was informed that one Singapore staff there in Jeddah had managed to do a direct license conversion. I profusely seek your kind assistance to help me.I can manage to squeeze another day off on Sunday and fly over to Jeddah to process the license conversion. I have prepared the followings docs:

1.Sgp licence authorized arabic translation
2.Letter from my employer (syahadah taarif)
3.Copy of my iqama
4.5 pictures
5.Copy of my staff ID which indicates my blood type( hv done done any medical specific for the licence process though)

I need help where possibly if one can send or knows anyone can send me to the traffic office and guide me thru the process. I dont speak arabic and need help as well.

Really need help on this. Looking forward to your forum replies, please.

I dont think there is any such thing as "License conversion" here in Saudi arabia.

If u hold a valid Intl Drivers License, you can drive around, for 6 months and after that u NEED to take a driving class, test and then the saudi drivers license.

This is what i know from my exeriences here. Please consult your govt relations personnel (at your employers office) .. and they might be able to guide/help you better.
